My Background
When I was in college, I studied molecular biology, cell biology, biopsychology, organic chemistry, immunology and genetics.  What all of this taught me was that good communication between the cells is absolutely vital to the health of the body.  This knowledge served as my basis of understanding for all of the alternative treatments that I have received and performed over the years.  I do my best to stay up to date with new research into all of these fields so that I can bring this knowledge to you, to help you improve your health too.

My Experience
I started my practice in 2003.  Almost immediately I began specializing in repetitive stress syndromes and chronic pain relief.  I have extensive experience working with clients with back issues, such as, herniated disks, failed back syndrome, fusions, scoliosis, degenerative disk disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, tmjd, rotator cuff problems, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, and many other conditions.   I have also worked with clients who have suffered severe whiplash, as well as other traumatic injuries.

I have been performing structural integration on children since I began my practice, helping their bodies adjust to growth spurts and congenital issues and started working with infants a few years later using CranioSacral Therapy.  I have had a great deal of success addressing nursing issues, acid reflux, torticollis, constipation, colic, ADD and ADHD.

In addition to my practice, I have also taught at several holistic schools, teaching classes in physiology, pathology, CranioSacral Therapy, business ethics, and Reiki.

My Education
I have a B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where I worked in a sterile lab, performing cell culture experiments using normal as well as virally transformed human cells.  I completed my massage training at the School of Healing Arts and my Holistic Health Practitioner training at Meridian International School of Health Sciences.  I am nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork and a Reiki Master.  I also have advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute, including pediatrics, as well as, training is osteopathic Visceral Manipulation and Neural Manipulation from The Barral Institute.

I believe in continuing my education and every year I take three to four classes per year, studying with some of the world's top osteopaths, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.  I love what I do and this work continues to be my passion.
